1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the TAKEOFF waitlist website ("Site"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site.
2. Description of Service
The Site provides a pre-launch waitlist for the TAKEOFF dating application. By signing up, you express interest in being notified when the application launches. The waitlist does not guarantee access to the application or any specific launch date.
The Site also offers a coming-soon mailing list. By joining the mailing list, you consent to receive launch updates and promotional messages from us by email and, if you provide a phone number, by text message. You may opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by replying STOP to any text message, and we will honor your request. The mailing list is separate from the paid waitlist and does not reserve a waitlist position.
3. Waitlist Reservation
The Waitlist Reservation is a one-time payment of $49.00 USD that secures a priority position in the invite line when invitations go out. Women may verify their identity to join the waitlist for free. By making this purchase, you understand:
- The reservation secures a priority position in the invite line; it does not guarantee access or a launch date
- The reservation is refundable only if TAKEOFF is never launched: if we formally discontinue the project and announce we will not launch the app, you are entitled to a full refund. We set no deadline by which we must launch.
- All members must complete identity verification (see Section 6); women's fee is waived contingent on successful verification
- Waitlist members join at a grandfathered launch rate of $19.00 USD per month when the app opens. This is a launch rate for waitlist cohorts: it is your starting rate and may rise over time, and standard pricing for members who join after launch may differ. It is distinct from the lifetime rate lock granted to Founding Members (see Section 4)
- Payment is processed securely through Stripe
Service fee. When the TAKEOFF app opens, every new member pays a one-time, non-refundable service fee of $19.99 USD, with no exceptions. This fee is not charged on the waitlist site today.
4. Founding Membership
The Founding Membership is a one-time purchase of $2,500.00 USD that provides guaranteed access at launch, a lifetime-locked membership rate of $19/month, a launch-party invitation, and additional exclusive benefits when the TAKEOFF app launches. By making this purchase, you understand:
- Founding Member status provides guaranteed first access at launch before all other waitlist members
- Benefits (weekly profile boosts, weekly super likes, founding member badge, three free months of membership, concierge support up until launch, a Founding Member welcome kit at the launch party, a launch-party invitation with founder-rate guest tickets, and invitations to future founders events) are subject to the final app's availability and features
- Invitations to the launch party and future founders events are extended at our discretion and may be withheld
- "Locked pricing" means your membership rate of $19/month will not increase for as long as your account remains active, even as standard pricing rises for new members
- You are entitled to a full refund only if TAKEOFF is never launched - that is, if we formally discontinue the project; there is no deadline by which we must launch
- Payment is processed securely through Stripe
5. Refund Policy
Waitlist Reservation and Founding Membership purchases are refundable under the following conditions:
- Your purchase is refundable only if we never launch TAKEOFF - that is, if we formally announce we are discontinuing the project and will not launch the app. There is no deadline by which we must launch; until launch, this is the only condition under which a refund is available
- Refunds are processed back to your original payment method

6. Identity Verification
To keep the community verified and safe, every member must complete an identity check. We use Stripe Identity to capture and analyze a government-issued photo ID and a self-portrait photo ("selfie"), which may involve biometric processing (such as facial matching) to confirm that the selfie matches the document. By proceeding, you consent to this collection and processing as described in our Privacy Policy.
- You must provide accurate, truthful identity information and a genuine likeness; you may not impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or gender.
- Women's $49 fee is waived on the basis of their submission; this waiver is provisional and conditioned on passing our verification and manual review.
- We may store a copy of your selfie temporarily for manual review and delete it promptly once your identity and gender are confirmed, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to decline, suspend, or revoke your waitlist spot and to require you to sign up and resubmit if we cannot verify your identity or if any information is found to be inaccurate, misleading, or fraudulent. We will notify you by email if your spot is removed.
- Where a payment was made, removal for failed verification does not by itself entitle you to a refund beyond the refund terms in Section 5; contact us with any questions.
7. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Provide false or misleading information when signing up or verifying your identity
- Attempt to circumvent any security measures on the Site
- Use automated systems to submit multiple signups
- Interfere with the proper operation of the Site
8. Travelers Code of Conduct
Cultural Respect and Local Conduct
When traveling or interacting with people from different regions, users are expected to act respectfully and remain mindful of local cultures, customs, traditions, and social norms. Users should familiarize themselves with the laws, safety guidance, appropriate conduct, and generally accepted best practices of any destination they visit.
Users are responsible for complying with all applicable local laws and regulations and should avoid conduct that could reasonably be considered disrespectful, exploitative, discriminatory, unsafe, or inappropriate within the local context.
TAKEOFF connects people across cultures and communities. Participation in the TAKEOFF community requires curiosity, respect, good judgment, and consideration for the people and places involved.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this Site, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Takeoff Dating, Inc. and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Takeoff Dating, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Site or the waitlist service.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
